The Cadet World Championships held at Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 28-31 August 2023 has drawn to a close with our Australian National Team achieving the best results at any world championships with 1 Silver, 2 Bronzes and 1 Quarterfinals result!!!

Our Team TAYA Athlete Chelsea Gomez competed in the W-164 cm division with 34 countries and was on the side of the draw that was tough with Turkey, Taipeh, Spain, Italy and Russia/AIN. She fought well with score of 3-3 on first round and 2-6 on second round but unfortunately lost to Turkey.

We are so proud of Chelsea and our very own Coach and Instructor Ms Abby who was one of the 4 Coaches that guided, supported, trained and coached AUS Team to an historic outcome for Australia. This is their 2nd time being part of the AUS Team as both took part in the 2022 and 2023 World Championships and have enjoyed the fantastic Australian team spirit and team bonding.

They have reset and bounced back to compete today 1 September 2023 (starts at 5pm AEDT) at the Bosnia and Herzegovina Open. We wish you both and the AUS Team all the best to achieve strong results at the Open and continue chasing your dreams and Taekwondo journeys as a developing elite athlete and a national team coach.

Well done Chelsea and Ms Abby!!!
